We are expanding the Sciware initiative to include more informal bi-weekly meetings to provide a space to have water-cooler-type conversations about software and technology topics, tech help, code review, etc between both experts, newcomers, and the curious. Especially since we are working mostly remotely, many of us are missing informal conversations with colleagues on these topics. We’ve dubbed these meetings Sciware Chat & Office Hours. We may have a seed topic for each meeting, but, similar to traditional office hours, we’re open to chatting about anything relevant to software and technology.
The first one is planned for Thurs, Jan 7, 3-4pm. Inspired by a recent conversation on Slack, we can chat more about software environment management (e.g., conda, cookie cutter, etc.), or anything else which folks may want to talk about!
