Our HR team will be presenting an Unconscious Bias training for our center from 12-2PM in our UPDATED LOCATION: meeting room # 315 on the 3rd floor at 160 5th Avenue.  Please feel free to tune in remotely via Zoom credentials in the calendar invite. This training is open to anyone who's interested to join, so please feel free to attend! A description/agenda will be posted soon.

Description/Agenda: 

As a result of attending today's session on unconscious bias, participants will be able to define what bias is and identify the common types of bias that impact decision-making in hiring. Participants will understand the role of schemas and how they shape our worldview and help us interpret information around us. Finally, participants will identify strategies, such as counter-stereotyping, and make personal commitments to mitigate against bias.
