Abstract: In this talk, I will give an introduction to practical applications of the Fourier transforms in CryoEM. Specifically, I will talk about how to apply the contrast transfer function (a type of filter) to images using Python and C++. After giving a brief introduction to Fourier Transforms, I will explain to you the small details that come up when trying to include Fourier Transforms in your code: how to figure out the value of the frequency at some pixel, how to take advantage of symmetries, and how to set up your inputs and outputs.
