David Lipshutz will be presenting, "An optimal filter model of the L2/L4 circuit in the fly lamina" for this week's NCA Group Meeting. Abstract below:


Abstract: I will talk about ongoing work with Mitya and Johannes modeling the L2/L4 circuit in the fly lamina as performing optimal prediction. To be concrete, I show how the Kalman prediction algorithm developed by Johannes et al. maps onto the circuit.
