Title: The Human Brain Organoid: A Free Running Encoder

Abstract: When cultured embryonic stem cells, ordinarily grown in a planar culture, have the freedom to extend into 3D, their development bears an uncanny resemblance to the human developing brain. Accompanying anatomical and gene expression features of the brain comes the emergence of a complex functional network assembled from single unit spike timing and local field potentials
