Title: Learning Antibody Chain Pairing through Protein Language Model
Abstract: Heavy and light chain pairing in antibodies involves complex mechanisms of diversification and maturation, which remain to be elucidated. Borrowing techniques from natural language processing, we show that antibody chain pairing can be modeled as a machine translation problem. The generated synthetic library resembles natural antibody pairing preferences down to gene family level and correlates with functions previously unseen during training.
