Giacomo Torlai and Matt Fishman will be presenting a new software package called "PastaQ".
PastaQ: A Package for Simulation, Tomography and Analysis of Quantum Hardware
We introduce PastaQ, a Julia package for simulating and benchmarking quantum computers. Built on top of ITensor, PastaQ provides a set of algorithms for the data-driven reconstruction of quantum states and channels, a crucial task for hardware verification and for improving error mitigation protocols in current experiments. The package combines tensor-network representations of quantum states/channels (using matrix product states and locally-purified tensor networks) with a data-driven optimization inspired by unsupervised machine learning. PastaQ also includes an MPS/MPO simulator of quantum circuits, with and without noise, and various functionalities to generate synthetic measurement data.
