Scientific Computing Discussion Group (SCDG)

Fortnightly discussion group on scientific computing and numerical analysis.

The SCDG enables presentation and discussion of numerical challenges in a friendly and informal setting. We plan to rotate between the following formats:

• open discussion on scientific computing problems (bring a problem you’re stuck on, for group discussion, and be ready to outline it on the blackboard),
• tutorial/teaching seminar (tutorial teaching of key concepts and methods; see the Google master doc for a list).

If you have a problem you know you’d like to discuss in an open discussion session, feel free to let us know in advance so we can make sure to get to you – alternatively, show up and raise your hand.
