Description

Everyone knows that abstracts must be short, but what other characteristics matter? In this workshop, we examine abstracts from a variety of scientific disciplines to discover the elements that make an abstract effective.

Participants then use the elements to analyze and revise their own abstracts.

Associate Director for Writing in Science and Engineering, Princeton University

Dr. Swan's Ph.D., which is in biochemistry, was earned at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
